Occlusion’s cement provides special capacities for plugging oil wells because of its fast-drying and other unique properties.
In January 2023, the federal government allocated over $5 billion to the major energy producing states through the National Infrastructure Bill to plug orphan wells. This is based on the millions of orphaned and abandoned wells that emit millions of cubic feet of methane gas, which is over 80 times more pollutive than carbon monoxide.
The cement and proprietary remote monitoring technologies that Occlusion uses combine to provide unique solutions to this national problem. Occlusion is working on a joint venture relationship with several national energy companies. They have been notified that they are a finalist for several of the five (5) state RFP’s it has responded to as a solutions partner to utilize those states’ national allocations of their portion of the $5 billion earmarked for plugging and monitoring these wells.
