Caprock Resources Group, LLC. This Oklahoma limited liability company and several related project-specific entities were formed to invest in, develop, and provide construction management for real estate projects. The development group built homes in the Tulsa/Jenks/Broken Arrow area, developed over 500 single-family lots in six subdivisions, and built two large mini-warehouse storage facilities in Jenks and Tulsa.  They also developed thirty-three luxury lake townhouses and boat docks on Grand Lake at Ketchum, OK, several retail and office locations, and are involved in land acquisition, development improvement, and real estate sales in the Tulsa area. Caprock, Black Gold, and their affiliates have been involved with many and varying sophisticated financing strategies. Kevin acts as a business advisor, investor, and is involved in financial, legal, marketing, and strategy decisions, but is not involved in day to day management.  www.caprockresources.com

Black Gold Concrete Plant. Black Gold opened Black Gold Concrete Plant in 2003 in order to provide batch concrete services in and around Skiatook, OK Black Gold Concrete was uniquely situated to capitalize on the growth of the Skiatook, Collinsville and Owasso markets. . They bought and retrofitted a used batch plant and 10 trucks and maximized the advantages of new environmental regulations that had caused the closing of numerous small town concrete plants.. The Company was profitable each year ofoperation, selling over $4 MM of ready mix concrete in its last year. When a Mexican company purchased Mid-Continent Concrete, the Tulsa area large ready-mix player, Kevin received several very attractive offers for the Company, and sold it in late 2006 to an out of town regional ready mix operator.


Lone Star Manufacturing. This was a company formed by Black Gold to bring investment capital, fiberglass fabrication skills, and marketing and financial management skills together to acquire a three year old 40,000 square foot plant located in the Austin, TX area, and did substantial building modifications to the plant. Kevin negotiated with an international theme park construction company to add an additional product line of commercial water slides to more fully absorb the excess capacity of the plant. Lone Star also sells and installs fiberglass swimming pools through internet based sales activities and two factory direct retail locations. Retirement Facilities, Nursing Homes. Black Gold has facilitated the financial turnaround and stabilization of three retirement facilities in Oklahoma and Arkansas. These involved equity capitalization, major rehabilitation of the physical plants, licensing and environmental issues, and restructuring with Banks. In one instance, Black Gold facilitated the sale and transfer of licenses to a new buyer.

Downtown Commercial Office Acquisition and Renovations. Kevin and Black Gold have been involved and renovation of several downtown Tulsa buildings.including the Thompson Building andthe Beacon Building.  Black Gold also acquired and was involved in the renovation of  the 10-story Noble Drilling Building (current headquarters of Black Gold.).

Asphalt Paving. Kevin and two partners started and operated Shamrock Paving Corporation, a commercial asphalt paving operation, during a time when the larger contractors were fully engaged with large road projects. Shamrock focused on smaller jobs that did not require public bids or bonding. They sold the business two years later to a large paving and utility contractor.

Excel Management Corporation. Kevin ovesaw the completion of over $15 MM in apartments, condos, and office buildings that were not completed due to borrower default and/or foreclosures. He hired contractors and subcontractors directly to assess, bid, and complete the projects.

Linen King. Black Gold was responsible for the construction of two large industrial plants in Oklahoma City and Columbia, MO for Linen King. These 30,000 and 50,000 square foot plants included substantial volumes of process piping, loading docks, and industrial applications. www.thelinenking.com
